TRADED TO WASHINGTON WIZARDS JUNE 2009 IN EXCHANGE FOR FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK.
Mike Miller was born on February 19, 1980 in Mitchell, South Dakota. After a strong high school career where he made a name for himself due to a knack for 3-pointers, Mike Miller attended the University of Florida between 1998-2000. His time ended with the team after a strong NCAA run where the Florida Gators lost in the championship to Michigan.
The Orlando Magic picked up Mike Miller that summer as the 5th overall pick in the 2000 draft. Mike Miller was the only rookie to appear in all 82 games, earning him the Schick Rookie of the Year Award.
In 2003, Mike Miller was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies where he played until 2008. Over his years on the Memphis Grizzlies basketball team, Mike Miller renewed his title as 3-point king. He sank 9 three-pointers in a single game, setting a new record for the Memphis Grizzlies. He also had 2 previous games with 7 three-pointers apiece.
Former Memphis Grizzlies teammate and current Minnesota Timberwolves teammate, Kevin Love, was a package exchange along with Mike Miller for OJ Mayo in 2008. Mike Miller joins the Minnesota Timberwolves for 2008 and will hopefully bring the energy needed to revitalize the team.
Mike Miller is married with two children.
